Church Life at GCBC
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Acts 2:42
We exist to glorify God by exalting Christ, equipping the saints, and extending the gospel from Phnom Penh to the ends of the earth.
Prayer
Once a month we gather to pause, pray, and worship. Our prayer points are focused on our local church and the country of Cambodia.
Communion
Communion (Lord’s Supper) is a time of remembrance. GCBC pauses the last Sunday of every month to take communion as a church.
Fellowship Meals
Along with communion, the last Sunday of every month we feast together after church as a time of togetherness and fellowship.
Worship
Our worship is congregational and Biblically-sound with a mixture of hymns and contemporary worship songs. Praising the Lord each week through music and scripture reading.
Small Groups
Small groups meet together immediately after the sermon to discuss takeaways or insights as well as encourage and pray for one another. Small groups also meet monthly outside of Sunday mornings.
Children
We provide childcare after worship for children in Kindergarten and below. Grades 1-5 have connection books to use during the sermon, and attend Kids Connection the Second Sunday of every month.
Youth
Youth Lunch (Grades 6-12) and book study happens after church with Pastor Austin the Second Sunday of every month.
Men
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast takes place once a month on Saturdays. This is a great time to be together, eat good food, and hear a short devotion.
Women
Our women’s ministry consists of a biweekly Bible Study, a yearly retreat, and a few small but intentional events throughout the year.
